Frequently Asked Questions
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking at least one week in advance for standard tours. For private charter experiences and group bookings, two to three weeks notice allows us to ensure optimal arrangements.
What should I bring on a tour?
Comfortable walking shoes are essential, as lighthouse sites often involve uneven terrain. Bring sun protection, water, and a light jacket as coastal conditions can change rapidly. Photography equipment is welcome on all standard tours.
Are tours suitable for children?
Children aged 8 and above are welcome on most tours. The Maritime Heritage Workshop and Photography Walk are designed for adults and older teenagers. Private charter experiences can be adapted for families.
What is your cancellation policy?
Full refunds are available for cancellations made more than 72 hours before the scheduled tour. Cancellations within 72 hours may be rescheduled subject to availability. Weather-related cancellations are always fully refunded or rescheduled.

Research and Media
We actively support academic research and media projects focused on South African maritime heritage. Our archives include historical photographs, keeper's logbooks, and architectural surveys that may be made available for legitimate research purposes.
Media representatives seeking interviews, site access for filming, or factual consultation should direct enquiries to our email address with details of their project and anticipated requirements.
